Historicon Thursday

Clarence Harrison - I'll write some full reports after the show, but wanted to throw up a couple of quick shots...

JACOBITES DEFENDING THEIR... ERR... CAMP...

WELL, WE DON'T REALLY KNOW THE RULES EITHER.

CAPTAIN MURRAY LEADS THE SALLY!

THEY SAID WE HAD TO CAPTURE THE BRIDGE!

Fantastic day. Had a great dinner out. Interest was so high we decided to run a SECOND game Thursday night. Off to bed because it's now tomorrow and I have to be up around 0630... I'll make more sense on the next post (maybe).

    1. Bob Giglio accused him of being a Wiiliamite sympathizer!

  3. Great looking game -- your terrain is nothing short of spectacular. Hope you are all having a good time. One little tip for surviving Historicon: don't forget to sit down in a chair from time to time during a game. It gives you more energy and you will feel less tired by the end of the day. I always forget to do this and then find myself wondering why I didn't have the good sense to sit down.

    1. Sitting now! There seems to be zero time to do that during the game. Been great fun, though... Just finished the third game and it went completely different than the day before. I think everyone had a good time... Lots of smiles and great sports!

  4. The table looks great. Good to see the Derry and Boyne pdfs out on show. Hope they produce many US orders!
A familiar scene - a bemused group of wargamers stand in silence whilst BH holds forth on the rules in Gaelic Scottish...!
Look forward to further updates from Fredericksburg...
